Robin Koerner, the Original Blue Republican
Robin Koerner is a British permanent resident of the USA, soon to become a proud citizen. He was educated at Cambridge University, from which he holds three degrees. Having taken graduate degrees in physics and philosophy, he never expected to find himself at the cutting edge of American politics.
Now, however, Robin found his calling as an activist with a unique approach, skill set and background.
Robin is a regular contributor to the Huffington Post, Ben Swann, the Daily Paul, and other sites. He writes on various issues in American politics and economics, focusing on the need and means of reversing our nation’s slide from its founding ideals. His work is very widely read, with some of his articles’ being shared and “liked” by tens of thousands of people, and a readership that is much larger. Robin not only writes about our problems, but also draws on keen cultural observation, and his deep understanding of history and psychology to show how they can be solved. Robin’s success as a writer led to his becoming the host of his own radio show, “Blue Republican with Robin Koerner”.
Robin is best known for coining this term “Blue Republican” to refer to liberals and independents who joined the GOP to support Ron Paul’s bid for the presidency. His article launched a movement, which now focuses on winning supporters for liberty, rather than arguments, focusing on finding common ground with those of various political persuasions, and especially people on the left. In that spirit, Robin travels the world to speak to a wide range of audiences about the philosophy of liberty and practical ways of reclaiming it wherever it is lost. He now trains activists and candidates to become good salespersons for the ideas of liberty.
As the founder and publisher of WatchingAmerica.com, an organization of over 300 volunteers that translates and posts in English views about the USA from all over the world, Robin benefits from his front-row seat in the alternative media, which helps him to see through, and explain to others, the illusions that our mainstream media perpetuate – illusions that stop many of us from seeing the true state of our nation and what we can do about it.
